Vakio by Flow Systems Oy and JB Fabinfra (part of the Jindal Steel Group) have today announced the formation of VAKIO JBFL Pvt Ltd. The joint venture is dedicated to manufacturing Finnish-engineered prefabricated building systems in India.
The agreement was formalized in New Delhi at a ceremony attended by Finnish Prime Minister Mr. Petteri Orpo, and Mr. Naveen Jindal, Member of the Indian Parliament and Chairman of Jindal Steel.
The partnership aims to transform the productivity and quality of Indian construction by introducing proven global technologies aligned with the "Make in India" initiative.
Operational Scope
The agreement provides for the licensing of Vakio’s product designs and manufacturing methods to the joint venture, with production set to start in Q2 2026 at dedicated facilities in Raigarh and Alwar. Starting in 2027, the JV plans to expand its manufacturing capacity through additional locations across India.

The JV’s initial output will focus on the VAKIO Pod™, a prefabricated bathroom unit designed specifically to address key challenges in Indian bathroom construction: water leakages, poor finishing quality, and extended project timelines.
